I go before you with my personal journey of survival using my tried and tested formula. Since 2015 I have been living Ostomy free however; it is not been without its physical and psychological challenges. By virtue of being a patient in the medical trenches, making mistakes, shedding tears and experiencing incredible wins, I will guide you to develop a loving and healthy relationship with yourself, that will lead to personal renewal through inner transformation.

My superpower is my story. I am an example of what is possible for you; by turning my medical trauma (Since 2013 I have had 6 bowel surgeries, 2 reversals and spent 10 days in a medically induced coma) into the empowerment that I used to pursue my dreams.

I used my story to achieve my highest calling (which was to do a PhD), and ultimately using my suffering to teach others.

Despite living with an ileostomy being a significant struggle for me (with bag leaks and breaches, low self-esteem, intimacy concerns, shame and trouble accepting my new body); my story taught me the survival skills necessary to keep going despite the gravest odds.

I recognised that I was not alone in feeling unprepared for an ileostomy and many others felt overwhelmed with how quickly things change living with an ostomy.

That said, I sadly did not find access to any kind of support community to gather around me when the battle felt to great.
